Family traditions help to cross the generation gap

Generation gap is one of the most serious problems in the world. Family traditions are thought to help to cross the generation gap. Now I would like to express my point of view on this problem.

I am in favour of the idea that traditions help in bridging the misunderstanding between children and their families. Firstly, traditions assist in accepting each other’s interests. For example, having dinner and communication of parents and children can introduce each other into their worlds. Secondly, rituals unite family members from different towns. For instance, grown up children visit their parents for birthdays. They sit together and exchange ideas that can make understand each other better. Finally, spending time together during family parties gives different generations a chance to understand how they entertain. Parents learn preferences of their children while their daughters or sons can learn how their parents used to do it in the past.

However, some people do not agree with that statement. They are sure that communication during family parties can lead to arguing and cause and cause more misunderstanding than earlier.

I cannot agree with that statement. I believe that every generation should try to listen to each other and understand interests and ideas of parents and children.

In conclusion, I want to say that generation gap is an important issue and I think that traditions can bridge it successfully.
